Meet gandy
Gandy is a solid delightful spunky little chi mix that was originally surrendered to a southern shelter along with 5 other chihuahuas. We took them all and each one was placed in great homes! Sadly after 2 years Gandy was returned to us at Love Dogs due to personal circumstances in his previous owners life.
When he first arrived back to us last week after two years in his home, he was one chunky monkey!! We welcomed him back.. he was always much loved here and he did recognize us.. naturally he had to readjust and was initially a bit reserved and cautious ( part of his nature!). He will never be a confident greeter of new people.. but he is able to and actually wants to feel safe and loved. It didn't take long for him to get into our routine and start trusting us again.
Right now Gandy's days are filled with positive experiences only! Playgroups with his buddies Hopper, Navy and Ollie.. long walks around the farm property and tours into the barn to explore all the wondrous horse smells! Gandy is so affectionate and loving to those on his inner circle.. often jumping in our laps and rubbing on us like a cat for attention! He has his favorite friends and with them he gives his whole heart!!
Gandy would do well in a home with a another dog or cat but children not so much! He prefers calm and gentle friends who will find it easy to give him space time and choices!! With his somewhat challenging start in life our hopeful buddy deserves a sweet happily ever after!
