Meet monk
Monk is not everyone’s “type,” and that’s probably why he’s still here-but let’s talk about what he is.
As a youngster, he bounced from home to home before being dumped in the middle of the road, survived that, then waited at the shelter only to endure a hurricane that sent a tree crashing down onto his kennel and completely destroying it-with him inside-and yes, he survived that too. Along the way he’s lost 19 teeth, one toe, and undergone CCL surgery, healed up, and kept going like it’s just another Tuesday.
Monk looks like life has happened to him because it has, and yet he is still here, still standing, still waiting. He’s quirky, unconventional, a little rough around the edges, and entirely real-the kind of dog who doesn’t need perfection, just a person. After surviving abandonment, natural disaster, surgery, and years of being overlooked, he should not spend another season in a kennel. Monk has done enough surviving. It’s time for him to go home.
