Lee’s story was supposed to have a happy ending… but instead, he’s starting over.Lee is a 3-year-old handsome boy who came to us in 2023 as a terrified stray, covered in fleas and parasites and unsure of the world. With time and love, he blossomed — and in September 2024, he was adopted into what we believed was his forever home.Then we got a heartbreaking call.Lee was brought to Animal Services as a stray. We contacted his owner, who said Lee had been with a sitter and would be picked up. That never happened. The owner never came back.Now Lee is back in the shelter — confused, anxious, and heartbroken. After a year and a half in a home, he paces his kennel and cries for the life he lost. No dog should ever have to experience that kind of loss twice.And the hardest part? Lee is an absolute gem.He is goofy, affectionate, and full of personality. He loves being around people, gets along well with other dogs, and has the heart of a toddler — curious, sweet, and happiest when life is full and busy.
