Meet deedra
Deedra is a sweet young Dobie girl of about 18 months who was impounded as a stray dog at an animal shelter. She was absolutely terrified on arrival there so she became a project for a member of the staff, who reassured her and gave her special treatment until she could get to us a few weeks later. Deedra is quite a pretty, leggy girl weighing 64 pounds. She deserves a much better life than she had; she was infested with fleas, didn't know how to walk on leash, and was nervous and head-shy. After a few minutes of socializing and playing with our volunteers, she blossomed and became the friendly, happy youngster she is. A kind canine companion would probably be good for her, and perhaps older kids who love dogs.
