Meet paolo
Paolo is as sweet as they come and has quickly become a staff favorite. This joyful, lovable guy has spent time as an office dog, where he’s shown just how well-mannered, affectionate, and easygoing he can be. He adores people, plays well with other dogs, and has an affinity for squeaky plush toys. He is crate trained, housetrained, settles well, rides perfectly in the car, walks nicely on leash (unless squirrels are in the picture), and moonlights as a 60-pound lap dog.He’s currently working on “leave it” when squirrels and rabbits appear on walks, and he’s making great progress with treats and positive reinforcement. Paolo is also practicing keeping all four paws on the ground when greeting new people — it’s still a work in progress, but he’s always gentle and full of love.Paolo will need a home that can accommodate his high prey drive. He’s a bit of an athlete and has been known to climb a chain link fence to chase critters, so a secure 6-foot fenced yard or leashed outdoor time will be important to his success.If you’re looking for an affectionate, playful, and devoted companion, Paolo is your guy!
