Meet Tessa
Tessa is a sweet, snuggly, affectionate, 1 yr old, Shih-tzu. Her foster parents affectionately call her "Potato", because she is quite the couch potato, who loves to be in your lap or snuggled up close to you. She is VERY food-motivated, which is great for training motivation. She understands "sit" and is great at catching treats mid-air.
She and her sister came to her foster family very fearful, and wouldn't leave her cage area and would just freeze if they set her down in the grass. Once they came out of their shells, they learned the ropes of going potty outside. Tessa prefers to be close to her human, and is less interested in exploring than her sister, Chicki.
She loves to alert to any sounds heard outside, so apartment living may not be for her, as she may bark at any interesting sounds.
