Teri B. Dog Trainer Bio

I have always loved animals, and my passion for dogs began with my first pet, Pepe, a Standard French Poodle I got at age four. Although my family didn’t have many dogs growing up, I got my second dog, Yoko, an Akita, when I was 28. She was my perfect “starter dog” and inspired my journey into dog training. After a career in Interior Design, I studied at Animal Behavior College, apprenticed under two trainers, and started my dog training business in 2008. Initially focusing on basic obedience, I expanded to therapy dog training, founding a Love on a Leash chapter in Ventura Valley, and later began training service dogs. Having a son with autism and mobility challenges, training service dogs became a natural extension of my work. Today, I train dogs at all levels, from basic obedience to advanced service and emotional support work. I address problem behaviors, socialization, and public access training. With over 16 years of experience, I find my work incredibly rewarding and continue to learn from the amazing dogs I meet.
