Trainer Bio

Hello, my name is Tyler Kent. I’m a trainer, behavior nerd, and devoted learning theorist with over ten thousand hours of professional experience working with dogs across the behavioral spectrum. I hold a CPDT-KA certification and spent 15 years honing my skills as the founder of Beast Masters, a dog daycare and training facility in Manhattan. Today, I focus on teaching behavior shaping and raising two incredible kids. My training style is rooted in clarity, connection, and compassion. I don’t believe in quick fixes, I believe in feedback loops, strong foundations, and making success easy to replicate. I bring a calm, grounded presence to each session, integrating mindfulness techniques and subtle body language work to help dogs and their handlers feel safe, seen, and empowered. At its core, dog training is like learning another language. My mission is to show you a system that makes that language accessible, where both ends of the leash are understood. I want our work together to go beyond behavior: to deepen your connection with your dog and help you learn more about yourself in the process.
