Trainer Bio

Dogs have been part of my life since I was very young, and I’ve had many relationships to animals through my family, from watching puppies being raised, to my uncle’s veterinary practice, to caring for my family’s paralyzed dog. I’m a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), using science-based positive reinforcement training techniques to strengthen the bond and communication between guardian and dog. As a Fear Free Certified Trainer, I’m also equipped to work with clients on cooperative care in their homes, in preparation for veterinary visits, and able to partner with Fear Free clinics to help provide a comfortable experience during examinations. I’m certified in CPR/First Aid for Dogs through Need to Know Training. I’ve been volunteering with the SF SPCA since 2019 and have trained up to work with the dogs who have more significant behavioral challenges, while also learning how to safely handle undervaccinated puppies. I’ve taken online classes in dog behavior and body language through the Shelter Playgroup Alliance, Fear Free Shelters, and Raising Canine. I prioritize building strong, trusting relationships with dogs through positive reinforcement, creating a safe and supportive environment where they can thrive emotionally and behaviorally. I get to know each dog as an individual, helping them experience the world with joy, comfort, and confidence. Challenge helps us all grow, and I work at each dog’s level to help strengthen their skills. I give each dog the same observant, dedicated, loving attention that I would give my own, helping them to flourish and grow in their home and neighborhood.
