Shari S. Dog Trainer Bio

Shari Spiewak, CPDT-KA, is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. Shari has been a lifelong dog lover and decided to make a career of her connection to canines. She attended CATCH Canine Trainers Academy, graduating with distinction, before beginning her training career in the Charlotte, NC, area. Her CATCH schooling taught her the importance of positive reinforcement training — rewarding the dog for a desired behavior — and its effectiveness in working with clients and their pets. Her experience includes in-home training for general obedience, puppy training, and problem-solving (e. g, leash walking), as well as group classes like Manners, AKC STAR Puppy, Puppy Socialization and Play, AKC Canine Good Citizen, and Leash Walking. Shari is a certified AKC Evaluator and is also Pet CPR-certified. She is also a volunteer at the Humane Society of Charlotte, where she assists the behavior/training team with dog assessments and public training classes. Shari is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, but now enjoys calling Charlotte home.
