Trainer Bio

My work with dogs began in 2008 when I started fostering for local rescues. In 2019, I joined Guiding Eyes for the Blind raising puppies in my home to be future seeing eye dogs, teaching them proper house manners and basic obedience. This experience is the driving factor behind my interest in dog training and the inspiration for me to pursue formal training with Animal Behavior College of Valencia, CA. In 2021, I received certification in their Dog Obedience Instructor Training Program, which has equipped me with the skills necessary to facilitate preparing some of our rescue dogs to become more adoptable. I’ve also completed numerous Behavior Rehabilitation courses and seminars, and have extensive experience with separation anxiety, fear, and reactivity. My personal pet, Bear, was a certified therapy dog who enjoyed visiting nursing homes and was loved by all the residents. Dogs are very special creatures that have so much to give to people when given the opportunity, both as service dogs and beloved pets.
