Michael, with his extensive experience, contributes a wealth of knowledge to his role as a trainer. He sharpened his expertise as an Animal Control Officer and as a canine handler for the U. S. Border Patrol. His skill set was further broadened through private industry training, working with esteemed companies such as Bark and Birch and Invisible Fence. His diverse background makes him a versatile and informed leader in the field of animal training. He trains basic and advanced obedience, as well as custom programs for aggressive or anxious dogs in rehabilitation. Michael begins training and socializing dogs and puppies within the program from as young as 8 weeks to over a year old. He covers housebreaking, recall, sit, sit-stay, down, down-stay, wait, leave it, drop it, up, kennel, place, heel, loose leash walking, and tricks for all assigned dogs and puppies. He also provides specialized training for dogs that will become service animals or perform specific tricks, such as going to a designated place at the sound of a doorbell. His training approach is toy reward-based, promoting functional behavior that is enjoyable for both dogs and trainers, emphasizing the importance of fun in training.
