Trainer Bio

Marnie is a Colorado native (a rare breed!). She currently shares her house with a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH Newton CGC FCAT TKI RN FDC, a German Shepherd, Rip TKN who is training in IGP, and a part-time Golden Retriever, CH Tarko TKN SH. Marnie has trained in conformation, flyball, agility, rally, obedience, nosework, and hunt trials. Currently, she is competing in conformation and rally with her corgi, and enjoying the heck out of it!20 years ago she left the corporate world to work with dogs when she met dog trainers who convinced her to participate in AKC Hunt Trials. She obtained a Junior Hunt title on her Labrador and worked for the same dog trainers. Since then, she has managed a dog training kennel, a vet clinic, and a dog daycare, and owned her own brick and mortar dog training and retail facility. She has helped thousands of pet owners find a new way to enjoy their dogs through training. She loves coaching puppy owners to navigate the first year or two of puppyhood. In addition, introducing dog owners to the joy of dog sports and finding the one that helps both ends of the leash thrive is incredibly rewarding. Though her CPDT-KA certification has lapsed she continues to attend conferences and seminars to stay up to date in the dog training world.
