Certified Dog Trainer
Hello, I’m Kayla. I’m a positive reinforcement dog trainer with over 2 years of experience. I have had the privilege of training a wide variety of breeds and temperaments. I have 4 dogs of my own; each with completely different personality traits, 3 cats who I have also trained to do a couple tricks, and a 2 year old son. I am a fear free trainer that uses science based positive reinforcement training methods. This includes LIMA (least intrusive, minimal aversive) strategies and a dog’s hierarchy of needs to change your dog’s behavior. I do this by setting you and your dog up for success and giving them the ability to choose good decisions without having to use force or punitive methods. This ends up strengthening you and your dog’s bonds and communication. And results end up with repeated desired behaviors and less unwanted problems.
