Certified Dog Trainer

Trainer Bio

KPA-CTP and UW-AAB certified. KPA-CTP stands for Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner. UW-AAB stands for University of Washington Applied Animal Behavior. In the dog training world there is currently no regulation. Anyone can call themselves a dog trainer. The KPA-CTP and UW-AAB program are in depth training focusing on utilizing positive reinforcement methods in training your dog. KPA-CTP guarantees that your dog shall be trained utilizing positive and and not aversive methods or tools. I decided to go through both KPA-CTP and UW-AAB programs when I could not find a positive reinforcement trainer to help me with my two Cane Corsos in 2015. I have trained other working breeds in the past but did not have the in depth knowledge regarding animal behavior and positive reinforcement that learned in both programs. I joined with Dog Academy because they also use and understand the importance of positive and practices.
