Certified Dog Trainer

Trainer Bio

Hi I am Jordynn!I have been working with dogs for over ten years. I started off working with rescue dogs as a volunteer. This is where i learned a lot about dog behavior and how to handle aggressive dogs. I learned how to evaluate dogs and be able to effectively offer them what was needed for a fulfilled life. I decided that I really enjoyed working with dogs and wanted to make a career out of it. From here is where my journey began. Since then, I have worked with a dog walker who took dogs out on a pack walk. I learned a lot about dogs’ communication and body language. I have also worked with multiple dog training companies where I learned a lot of different methods of training and was able to create my own training “toolbox”. I have also interned and learned from a nationally accredited service dog company. Here is where I learned to train advanced techniques needed for service dogs. Similar to dog training, I enjoy K9 Handling. I have been certified with five dogs as a K9 team. Four were trained to detect explosives and one was trained to detect narcotics. I’ve worked in numerous venues with my dogs such as department stores, convention centers and theaters. Currently I am training with my Labrador Retriever and our goal is to certify this year. I have worked in various other fields such as the veterinary field and also have worked with breeding and whelping service dog puppies. I really enjoy learning all fields of the canine world, as I feel it really helps me understand dogs and what they need to thrive. Dogs are a huge part of my life, and I can’t imagine doing anything else!
