Trainer Bio

My name is Jacquie Davis, and my lifelong passion for animals, which began by caring for various pets including dogs, cats, horses, and birds, has led me to a fulfilling career as a certified dog trainer. After a successful decade in sales and marketing in the food industry, I made the exciting transition to dog training, a field where my heart truly lies. I bring over 10 years of hands-on experience working with all breeds and agesfrom puppies to adults. My expertise covers fundamental basic obedience training, addressing complex challenges like reactive behavior and aggression, and foundational agility training. I am a certified dog trainer through the CATCH Canine Trainers Academy, which has solidified my commitment to ethical and effective methods. I exclusively use reward-based positive reinforcement training, as I firmly believe this approach allows any dog to become a loving, well-behaved companion. My dedication extends to the community, where I volunteer my time at the Connecticut Humane Society in Newington, training shelter dogs to help them find their forever homes. At home, my husband and I are the proud owners of a diverse and loving pack, including three rescue dogs (a Border Collie, an Australian Shepherd, and a Lab/Pit Bull mix) and seven rescue cats.
