Trainer Bio

My name is Liz, and I’m a professional dog trainer with a passion for helping dogs and their people build stronger, more understanding relationships. I’ve worked with a wide range of dogs including service dogs, performance dogs, and family companions, and I believe every dog deserves training that’s fair, clear, and rooted in trust. My approach follows LIMA, or Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive principles, meaning I focus on positive, science-based methods that respect each dog’s emotional and physical well-being. A big part of my journey has been shaped by my own service dog, Mozart. Training and working with him has given me a deeper appreciation for how intelligent, sensitive, and capable dogs truly are. He has taught me patience, problem-solving, and the importance of communication that goes beyond words. Whether I’m teaching a dog a new skill, building confidence in a nervous dog, or helping a handler improve their communication, my goal is always the same: to create understanding, cooperation, and balance. I love helping owners see their dogs not as problems to fix but as partners to guide. Dog training isn’t just my career; it’s my calling and my way of making a difference, one team at a time.
