Trainer Bio
I’ve been devoted to dogs my whole life. As a child I attended dog shows with a family member who showed in the working dog group and frequently watched dog shows on TV as a kid – dreaming of having my very own australian shepherd. My first dog was a border collie cross, and that boy got me hooked on trick training at 9 years old. I attended Rutgers University’s Animal Science program, where I initially set out to complete the prerequisite courses for veterinary school. However, I soon discovered the profound impact I could have by focusing on training and behavior. After 10 years as a veterinary technician in both general practice and veterinary behavior, I have made the shift to training full-time. I am a graduate of CATCH Canine Trainers Academy, am an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, a Certified Family Dog Mediator, a Fear Free Certified Trainer, and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. I specialize in positive reinforcement training, with a special love for working with puppies and families with children. I help families build strong, lasting bonds with their dogs through trust and communication. This isn’t just my workit’s a way of life. I share my life with my three Miniature American Shepherds, two Standard Poodles, and mini pig named Pretzel.
