Marissa W. Dog Trainer Bio

My name is Marissa and I’m a Certified Dog trainer focusing on Science-based Training. I have almost 7 years of experience training. My training career started after adopting my first rescue dog which was way more than I bargained for. After sending him to a trainer and seeing firsthand the cons and side effects of aversive training, I decided to become a certified trainer to help him and help others. My experience ranges from teaching group classes at Petco, to volunteering at my local humane society on their Behavior and Training team. I’m very passionate about educating humans just as much as training dogs. I’m always looking forward to growing my own education as a trainer.
