I graduated and received my ABCDT certification from Animal Behavior College in May, 2021. In addition, I attained my Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed credential (CPDT-KA) in May, 2022 from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. I’m also a Canine Good Citizen test evaluator. I use only positive reinforcement to train dogs. In my opinion, there’s no place in dog training, or training of any animal, where physical pain and emotional abuse are acceptable. Dogs respond best to kindness and food-/affection-/praise-based rewards.
