Connor L. Dog Trainer Bio

Conor is a 27 Year old trainer from Bloomfield Hills who has been professionally training dogs since 2018. Before becoming a dog trainer, Conor Lovell actually grew up with a huge fear of dogs after an attack when he was a kid. Despite this, his love for animals held strong and Conor worked on his fear when his family got their first dog at the age of 10. Since then, Conor has gone to college to get his BFA in acting from Oakland University but shortly before the pandemic hit, decided to take a break from the theatre life and see what was out there for him. What he eventually found was dog training. Becoming a dog trainer for PetSmart Conor was taught the basic fundamentals to operant conditioning and learning patterns. After working there; Conor went to behavior seminars, local dog shows, a dog training club and reached out and hired more established trainers in his area to learn more about the dog training world and develop his skills as a trainer. Now Conor is a certified trainer through the AKC. He has been an animal handler on the set of commercials with his former dog Riker and has worked with famous dogs such as Henry the Hockey Dog with the Saginaw Spirit. Conor’s best friend is his two year old Golden Retriever Legolas who has his STAR puppy, CGC as well as his novice and intermediate trick dog titles. Their favorite things to do together are hiking, going swimming and watching nature documentaries. Hopefully Conor and Lego will see you soon!
