Tammy F. Dog Trainer Bio

Ever since I was little, I have always loved animals, dogs in particular. I grew up studying their behavior, their movements and have always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. Unfortunately, life got in the way, and that dream of becoming a veterinarian was squashed, but I stumbled upon the opportunity to learn how I can still work with animals. I studied the art of dog training and have trained professionally on and off for about 5 years. Even though I decided to give up the idea of pursuing my education as a DVM, I ended up with achieving my degree and sitting for my state board as a Registered Veterinary Technician. I now have been working in the veterinary field for the past twelve years and have been studying animal behavior since. I train for obedience and for service dog work using positive reinforcement. My two German Shepherd Dogs are service dog trained, one for mobility and one for seizure alert. I also have a German Shepherd/Malinois mix who is trained as a PTSD service dog.
