I’ve been a dog walker for seven years and a professional trainer for two. I’m nearing completion of my AKC Canine Good Citizenship evaluator certification. I conduct group classes at Pet Food Express and offer private sessions at public meetups or in clients’ homes. My approach is calm and assertive, with consistent communication and instruction. Such traits in a handler instill confidence and balance in a dog, fostering their focus on the handler over daily distractions. Regular communication and clear boundaries during daily activities ensure consistency in a dog’s behavior, such as loose-leash walking, entering and exiting spaces, and interacting with strangers and other dogs. Dogs may be domesticated, but they require proper care, supervision, and training to meet our expectations, as it is not innate for them.
