Meet Shuga<\/p>\n

Hi there, my name is Shuga. I was found wandering on Pearl Street in Ashley with no collar, no microchip, and no one coming forward to claim me. Kind-hearted people had been trying to help me for a while before I finally made it to safety.<\/p>\n

Right now, I’m living in a foster home where I’m slowly adjusting to life inside. I’m still getting used to all the new sights, sounds, and feelings–things like soft beds, quiet rooms, and gentle hands. Whether I came from a rough past or a breeder situation, it’s clear I’m learning what love and safety truly feel like.<\/p>\n

I’m currently living with another dog and doing okay–we’re still figuring each other out. My foster mom is very patient and says she may even adopt me if we become great friends. But since I’m still adjusting, we’re keeping all options open–whether that’s a forever home with another calm dog, or as a cherished only pet, or even placement with a rescue experienced in helping dogs like me thrive.<\/p>\n

One thing’s for sure: I’m ready to leave the past behind and find a future filled with kindness, understanding, and love. Could that be with you?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
