Hi, I’m Dory! 💙

But unlike the fish, 🐟 I don’t forget the people I love. Once you’re my person, you’re my person forever. 🥹

When I first came into foster care, I had no idea how to be a house dog. Toys were strange. Crates were Confusing. 🫤 Couch cuddles yep Completely foreign.

Now look at me! ✨🤩

I’m potty trained, crate trained, know commands like sit, stay, down, come, and paw, and I’ve become a professional plush toy exterminator. If it squeaks… it probably won’t for long. 😏

My perfect day ☀️ starts with a nice walk, followed by some backyard zoomies, 💨 maybe a hike, a little tug of war, and then I’ll happily flop upside down with my goofy 🙃 smile showing while I wait for belly rubs. If you let me cuddle, I’ll probably lay my entire body on top of you and rest my head on your shoulder. 🥹

I’m smart, adventurous, affectionate, and just independent enough to entertain myself while you’re busy. But don’t worry when I decide it’s cuddle time, I’ll politely remind you with a paw and my sweetest puppy eyes. 🥺

I love playing with other energetic dogs, but cats are definitely not my thing. I’m also looking for a home with older kids (13+) because fast movements make me nervous. 😬 New people take me a minute, but if you’re patient I’ll be melting 🫠 into your lap before you know it.

My wish list:
💙 A fenced yard for zoomies 💨
💙An active family who loves adventures🏕️
💙 Older kids or adults only
💙 No cats 🐈 🙅‍♂️
💙 Lots and lots of plush toys to “redecorate” 🧸
💙 Bonus points for a playful dog sibling🐾

“Just keep swimming.” I think it’s time to change that.
Just keep adopting… just keep adopting… and maybe you’ll find me. 🐠💙

Because I’ve already found myself.
Now I’m just searching for my family. 🥹

Dory is located in Houston, TX, and she’s ready for her greatest adventure yet… coming home. 🐾
