Meet yoshi will melt your heart
This tiny little heartthrob is Yoshi. At just 5 weeks old and around 4 pounds, he is as small and adorable as they come. We believe he is a Shih Tzu/Chihuahua mix. The family that gave him away said his mom was a Shih Tzu mix, but we all know that with rescue it is always a guess! What we do know is that Yoshi came from one of the most at risk regions in the country. Texas is in a state of crisis, with overcrowded shelters forced to make heartbreaking decisions every day. Choosing Yoshi means not only saving his life, but making room for another dog who desperately needs that chance.

Yoshi is everything you could want in a puppy wrapped up into one tiny, wiggly, absolutely irresistible body. He has that perfect mix of playful curiosity and melt into your arms sweetness that people spend years hoping to find. He bounces through life with this happy little energy, then the next moment he is curled up against you like a tiny baby, completely content just being close.
He is being fostered in a home with children ranging from 4 to 14 years old and absolutely adores them. He greets everyone like they are his new best friend and soaks up all the love he can get. He is the kind of puppy that follows you from room to room, not wanting to miss a single moment of your day.
He is also getting great socialization with both a large female dog and a smaller male dog in his foster home. He watches them closely and is already learning the rhythm of daily life. Yoshi is picking up on routines quickly and is doing wonderfully sleeping in his crate on his own at night. He settles in around 7:30 pm and wakes up between 6:30 and 7:30 am, usually as soon as he hears someone starting their day.
For such a little guy, Yoshi is already working hard on potty training. He has the cutest little squeak to let you know when he really needs to go, and he is learning to follow the other dogs outside. This early foundation gives him a huge head start in building confidence, good habits, and strong social skills.
Yoshi is curious, observant, and just the right amount of mischievous. He has already figured out that the youngest kid in the house is the most likely to drop snacks and makes sure to stay close by just in case. He is always watching, always learning, and always ready to join in on whatever you are doing.
He loves hopping in the car for the morning school run and rides along like the tiniest co-pilot, taking it all in. When he is not exploring or playing, he melts right into your arms, nesting in perfectly like he was made to be there.
Puppies grow quickly, and so does their need for structure. We require all adopters to begin crate training right away, as it plays a key role in potty training, building independence, and creating a secure routine. Continued socialization will help Yoshi grow into the well rounded, confident dog he is already showing signs of becoming.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!
We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+.
