Meet nala

Nala A18459292 lb. spayed female, approx 5 years old -She’s a slow moving kind of gal who needs a few more slow moving walks.-She’s on the larger size but is so sweet and gentle-She’s not accepting treats at the moment. She’s a bit stressed here. Toys don’t seem to be her thing either.-Once she relaxed a bit, she stayed close for pets. She would turn her head towards me if I stopped, asking for more.-She knows “sit”. Once she was in a sit position it took me forever to get her to move. I tried all kinds of commands to get her to get back up and nothing worked. Stubborn? Really good at holding place? Not sure but it was pretty hilarious!-Once she was comfortable with me she even gave some kisses-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids •Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
