Meet amber
Amber lived across the street from my family home. We saw her family at the time being her home as a puppy. Shortly after we noticed she was being abused and neglected. Left out during freezing temperatures, outside during lightning, thunder and other awful conditions. One day my mom offered the owner $200 to give her up to us and the owner agreed. We’ve had her ever since. My brother was 8 at the time and I was 15. She’s been a great dog to us. Her problem is strangers. She gets defensive and protective around people she doesn’t knows so she barks a lot, is scared of her own shadow and hates storms. We think it’s because of the abuse she suffered as a puppy. My mom sadly is no longer able to care for her due to tragic loss and I am not financially stable to take her in. I worry about her because I know she’s a good dog but may be judged on a first impression for her barking and aggression.
